Introducing our newest partner in Pakistan, PAK7!

PAK7 has national leadership with solid international oversight and wants to see God glorified and enjoyed in Pakistan, among Christians and the majority population. They do so through indigenous, strategic, and innovative methods involving children and adults testifying through professional television programming, music, and social media. PAK7 has been instrumental in telling stories out of Pakistan, resulting in the freeing of families from bond slavery. Through its broadcasts, Muslims and Christians engage in substantive and respectful dialogue so that Christians have an intelligent voice in the public square. Its social media impact reaches well beyond the Christian population.

The Outreach Foundation will be supporting initiatives we think resonate well. First, we want to amplify PAK7’s vibrant Social Media Ministry. Volunteers and staff answer real-life questions with a Christian-infused worldview, they lead people to further teaching and serve as guides in people’s search for Jesus. This media form is forging new paths for the gospel in areas of Pakistan not served traditionally by the church. In 2022, there were 39 million active Facebook accounts in Pakistan and 70 million YouTube subscribers. Within this field are many people hungry for the gospel. PAK7’s videos were watched 27 million times, 40,000 people chatted with PAK7 teams, and the team prayed with almost 2,000. This is incredible and we’re excited to join into this movement!

A second project is PAK7’s production of its children’s Bible TV show, Kahani Kamp. Now in its second season, Kahani Kamp has a potential reach of 80 million children. Through stories, songs, quizzes, and cartoons, Christian truth is broadcast to children. For Christians it means they have models for owning their faith, applying God’s Word to their lives, and knowing God more deeply.

In a society where it was not until last year that there was an approved Christian curriculum for schools, this is a significant step! These programs are also a great way for children of other faiths to find out what Christians believe, to hear the truths of the Bible, and also to understand that Christians are “normal” people, that they have hopes and dreams, talents to bring to their nation, and struggles just like them.

Pakistan: protests and violence do not tell the full story

Pakistan is in great need of hope today and our partners there are faithfully bearing witness to this hope! Hope is anchored in a new leader, but as Christians, we believe that true transformation takes place because of the Holy Spirit at work in us. This is the hope Pakistan needs, and our partners are delivering. We will be following the situation closely through our friends and partners at Pakistan Bible Correspondence School, Pakistan Christian Recording Ministries, the Presbyterian Education Board, Forman Christian College, and PAK7, our newest partner.
