Elam Awakening: Hope In The Homeland
The Outreach Foundation has been in constant contact with our Iranian mission partners since the uprising in December, the massacres in January and the full-scale war being experienced today. Painful stories find their way into the light of day despite internet blackouts and other repressive means. We offer one of those stories here as a snapshot to keep in mind as you continue to pray.
Iran’s underground house church movement is the fastest growing in the world – and it is expanding even now as bombs fall from the skies. Our Iranian friends tell us when strikes happen, people aren’t panicking. It’s when the chaos stops that people become anxious. They are fearful of the future and what it means for them and their country when the attacks end. For some the unknown is becoming harder than daily life – even as unsettled and frightening as it is.
We have hope the prophecy of the restoration of Elam as foretold by Jeremiah will soon come to pass. So, now is the time for us to step in. We help continue the mission’s momentum and energy. We are called to help sustain our brothers and sisters in Christ as they endure these trials, and for the rebuilding that is to come.
