Musalaha Ministry of Reconciliation - July 2020 Update

Israel and Palestine

The same constraints that canceled the summer camps caused us to put on our creativity hats. We are committed to providing the children with a fun summer experience that is both safe and legal. Therefore, we have decided to implement weekend summer activities (Friday-Saturday). An average summer activities weekend will consist of 25-30 children (within regulation) spending 5-6 hours rotating through different stations (crafts, music, sports, etc.) and study/storytime sessions. Parents will send food with their children. The theme of our first summer activity is, "Together We Can." The theme is a response to the recent global unrest. Together we can build a better future, together we learn to accept one another, together we fight discrimination, together we support each other.

We are starting our first series of summer activities in Bethlehem on July 17-18 and 24-25. Depending on funding, we hope to cover the costs and possibly expand the concept to other areas in our land (Nablus, north Israel, etc.). We would be pleased for you to partner with us by helping us provide the children with a meaningful summer experience.

Grateful for your partnership,

Musalaha
