China Partnership — Amity Printing Company

The Outreach Foundation has had a long-standing relationship with Amity Printing Company in China. Located on the outskirts of Nanjing, China, Amity Printing Company is a joint venture between the Amity Foundation and the United Bible Societies. The company was established in 1988 and prints Bibles for the world. Bibles have been sent to more than 140 countries and regions.
The Amity printing presses never stop. Operating 24 hours a day/seven days a week, they print Bibles for the world. The extensive floor plan for the plant covers many acres and includes some of the latest mechanizations in printing high-resolution pictures on an incredibly thin piece of paper.

Our Outreach Foundation team was allowed to observe and inspect various parts of the printing process. We watched Hebrew Bibles being printed for a partner in Israel. Another spot inspection found mounds of study Bibles for pastors in China. We were shown a Braille Bible produced for those who have lost their sight.
As Executive Director of The Outreach Foundation, I was presented with the 200 millionth Bible printed by Amity. To date, more than 250 million Bibles have been printed. This number includes Bibles destined for mainstream Protestant and Catholic churches and Bibles exported in more than 190 different languages.
Our Outreach team was warmly greeted by our friends at Amity. They are a dedicated group of people doing valuable work for the world. Their goal is to provide the highest quality Bible at the lowest possible cost.
