New Church Development in Egypt — May 2023 Update

The Outreach Foundation works closely with Egypt's Pastoral and Outreach Ministries Council of the Synod of the Nile (POMC). The vision of the POMC is to disseminate the gospel in locations where God's Word can be planted, multiply, and bear fruit so that everyone can hear the good news of Jesus Christ. POMC’s Marina Wagdy writes:

We humbly request your prayers for the attainment of our council's mission in a very challenging and difficult economy, in which people are suffering due to high inflation and many families are scarcely surviving. Hundreds of people have been killed in violent clashes between the Sudanese military and the country's primary paramilitary force, and thousands have been forced to abandon their homes as civil war threatens to destabilize the region. Since Egypt is the nearest country, some of them have fled here as refugees, pictured here.

Prayer Requests

  • We are going to start contacting unreached ethnic communities in El Farafra and Siwa. Please pray for us as we proclaim the gospel in these remote regions, and pray for the people of these communities, that God would hear their prayers and meet their needs through His servants.

  • Pray for Sudanese refugees fleeing into Egypt, as we intend to start a service for them.

Thank you,

Marina Wagdy
