A Difficult Day in Kyiv, Ukraine

Dr. Ivan Rusyn, President of the Ukraine Evangelical Theological Seminary in Kyiv, sent us this quote today : “Today (November 15) was a difficult day with rockets flying over our heads. We took a video of one rocket that was destroyed by a fighter jet just above the seminary.”

Earlier this month, a team from The Outreach Foundation met Dr. Rusyn at the border between Ukraine and Poland, close to where missiles struck Poland yesterday. The video is a good reminder that this war is not yet over. Yesterday’s attack is reported to have taken out 40% of the remaining power-generating capacity in Ukraine. Power capacity was already at nearly 50% of pre-war levels (source: IEA’s Ukraine real-time energy data analysis). Our partners inform us that temperatures are beginning to drop below freezing. Still, Ukraine Evangelical Theological Seminary continues its work providing food and medical supplies to thousands of people each month, often going into risky areas to serve the military as well. Thank you for your continued prayers and support.
