Showing up in a forgotten place a world away

Dear friends,

I was introduced to The Outreach Foundation twelve years ago when the late Rev. Nedson Zulu and Sebber Banda spoke at Bible study at our church. They described their ministry as building churches, schools, and wells and providing basic first aid to villagers in Tete Province, Mozambique. They described a very rural region scarred by civil war without electricity, transportation, or basic medical care. Sebber trained midwives to deliver babies and I felt her desperation to help mothers survive childbirth. I was shaken and moved by their presentation. I was struck by The Outreach Foundation; they showed up in a forgotten place a world away.

For over forty years, The Outreach Foundation has been cultivating deep, long-term relationships throughout the world. The Outreach Foundation works with partners in thirty-seven countries. Because of your generosity, churches have been planted in Iraq, Egypt, Cuba, China, South America, Africa, and many other countries. Relief has been provided to Syrian refugees in Lebanon, evangelists have been trained, and hungry children have been housed, fed, clothed, and educated in multiple countries. Each one of our partners around the world can tell a life-changing, lifesaving, story of gratitude because of you.

The Outreach Foundation works in tough places around the globe. Our small band of employees, trustees, and friends travel routinely to these dangerous and wonderful places to worship, listen, and learn from our partners and discern how to support their needs. Once a year through the Annual Appeal, we ask you, our faithful and generous friends, for funds to support the staff of The Outreach Foundation. Our goal is to raise $100,000 to help the staff continue this important work.

There are two ways to provide gifts:

  1. Please give online at www.theoutreachfoundation.org

  1. Please give by mail: The Outreach Foundation, 381 Riverside Drive, Suite 110, Franklin, TN 37064.

We deeply appreciate your partnership with us. Thank you for giving our staff the opportunity to tell the story of the Kingdom of God as we connect congregations and donors with partners in the wider world.

With gratitude and joy,

Betsy Hunt
Vice-Chair, Board of Trustees
