Despite hardships, the mission continues.

Dear friends,

In recent months we have learned what PPE is, what it means to flatten the curve, and how scientists develop vaccines. Many of us have practiced voluntary sequestering and social distancing. Layered on top of the health crisis, many are struggling to keep businesses afloat and to retain or find employment. These are challenging days. I will never think about the phrase “going viral” in the same way again.

With the help of many of you, The Outreach Foundation has been reaching out to care for global church partners who have been affected by the health and economic crises in ways that are hard for us to imagine. You’ve blessed partners in Kenya and Cairo, Syria and South Sudan, Iraq, and Iran, to name a few of the places where we’ve been at work. Despite hardships, the mission continues.

We remained convinced that there can be no intermission in God’s mission. So in addition to responding to the immediate needs of churches around the globe, we continue to help our partners train pastors in Zambia and Cuba and Lebanon, provide theological resources to new pastors in China, build churches and schools in East Africa, mentor hundreds of pastors in Brazil, and come alongside church planting and revitalization efforts in Egypt.

Our annual appeal supports the ministry of The Outreach Foundation. It makes all this possible. It supports our staff and communications, our travel, and resourcing of congregations and families who are discerning how their gifts intersect with God’s mission. We believe that the Church is called to spread the good news of God’s lavish love everywhere!

God has more for us to do. Your generous gift to Outreach’s annual appeal will enable us to respond.

With you in Christ’s mission,

Rob Weingartner
