Azumah with Owen and Solomon.JPG

The Outreach Foundation is sponsoring a trip to Ghana to introduce participants to the riches of African Christianity. Over 9 days we will:

• travel to northern Ghana to see the work of two Ghanaian Presbyterian denominations in an area where Christians and Muslims live together in peace;

• see the Elmina Castle on the Ghanaian coast where slaves were transported to the Americas for 200 years;

• learn to see our faith through African eyes as we sit at the feet of African Christians in the Akrofi-Christaller Institute for Mission, Theology and Culture;

• and participate in the inauguration of a new center for the study of Islam and Christianity founded by the Rev. Dr. John Azumah, former professor of World Christianity at Columbia Seminary and Board member of The Outreach Foundation.

Estimated costs: $1500 ground costs + visa and international airfare.
