Holistic Evangelism in Tete Province

About Our Partner

Presbyterian Church in Mozambique

Through a holistic evangelism project in Mozambique’s Tete Province, The Outreach Foundation partners with the Presbyterian Church in Mozambique to share the Gospel in a variety of ways. We build new churches and help with repairs of others and build new schools as well as add classrooms and office space to some. By drilling wells, we alleviate the burden women and girls have in collecting daily water sometimes miles away, and girls are able to attend school. A new clinic is now open in the village of Madzimaera, providing much-needed healthcare for surrounding villages, and we celebrated the groundbreaking for a shelter at the clinic for women to use before having their babies. A lay training program has been established to train elders and evangelists in new ways to care for the congregation as the church continues to grow and serve people in this very remote area.

The Impact

Churches, schools, teacher housing, and clinics are being constructed. Wells are being drilled. Health education and disease prevention are being taught. Traditional birth attendants and village health assistants are being trained. A lay training program is preparing elders and evangelists.

The Opportunity

The Outreach Foundation is seeking gifts to support the mission and ministry of Holistic Evangelism in Tete Province, Mozambique. All gifts of any size are welcomed to help build churches and schools, drill wells, and provide leadership training seminars, bicycles, and village health kits.
