Persian Diaspora Partnership (Radmard) Update October 2025

In Iran’s shadowed landscape—marked by persecution, economic despair, and cultural wounds—John 1:5 resounds with divine promise: “The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.” This truth vividly animates the Radmard ministry in 2025, where God’s illuminating presence heals Persian-speaking men, restores families, and advances His Kingdom.

Radmard’s Impact

Radmard, which means “man of purity,” is a one-of-a-kind ministry that focuses on healing Muslim background believing men of their addictions and showing them how to replicate this healing among family and friends. Reza and his team do all this in the name of Jesus Christ, spreading Christ’s light in one of the darkest spaces in the world. Radmard cultivates safe spaces for men, empowering them to confront their histories of rejection, abuse, and addiction. This work ignites their curiosity, helping them learn that it is acceptable to question and discover faith, which is heavily discouraged in their Muslim context. We especially celebrate that three wives found life in Jesus. Men are finding freedom from addictions, renewing their marriages, and deepening their faith.

2025 Highlights

Radmard engaged their in-country house church leaders to select men for weekly online discipleship sessions. Divided into two groups in secure online forums, these gatherings offer men opportunities for mentoring and deep friendship. Radmard’s seminars address challenges unique to Muslim background believers’ healing from addiction. Through funds donated to Radmard, they were able to translate three groundbreaking resources into the Persian language and are distributing them inside and outside Iran. Since June’s 12-day war, our teams have been holding regular prayer meetings, which help these men know they are not alone. This is a critical aspect to Radmard’s meetings so that men do not retreat to addictive behaviors.

Testimonies to God’s Restorative Power

Weekly sessions brim with God’s presence, inviting men to reflect on how God is at work in their lives. Again, this is a new habit for Muslim men. Here’s an example. Leaders asked, “If you could change one thing in your past, what would it be?” One participant replied, “I wish I had told someone earlier about the sexual abuse I endured as a child.” His father had abandoned him, and he experienced maternal abuse. Running from fears, he embraced pornography and continued patterns of infidelity in his own marriage. He explained, “I couldn’t control what happened to me, but I could’ve told someone earlier and received help.” This vulnerability highlights Radmard’s role in fostering agency and healing.

Your Next Step

Pray! Two of Radmard’s in-country leaders were arrested, resulting in the scattering of 13 men. Please pray for God’s protection over this ministry. Intercede for divorced men facing emotional and parenting struggles; for marriages to be shielded from temptation; and for hope amid economic, social, and political pressures. Pray for internet stability as this is a lifeline for these men and their families.

THE OPPORTUNITY

Our financial generosity makes all this happen. Please give generously. Looking ahead to 2026, The Outreach Foundation hopes to support a conference that brings together addiction recovery experts and these men to deepen their journey. For more information on this conference, please contact Tom Boone, Associate Director for Mission, at tom@theoutreachfoundation.org.
