During the devastating 12-day war between Iran and Israel in 2024, your support empowered Gates of Heaven, led by the inspiring Forouzan, to shine Christ’s light amid chaos. While hunger gripped children, relief vehicles were detained, and funding sources vanished, her teams delivered aid to grateful hands, even as guards stole supplies and Christians were branded enemies. When direct aid was blocked, they creatively offered hot meals as religious offerings, turning barriers into bridges of hope. Their unwavering commitment reflected Jesus’s love, reaching both body and soul in a holistic gospel witness.
Though stability has returned, Iran’s atmosphere remains oppressive, with child labor a heartrending crisis. Sources record that more than three million children toil in hazardous conditions, 70% of Tehran’s street children are immigrants, and 48% abandon education for survival. Amid this darkness, Gates of Heaven’s work glows brighter. Their weekly football clubs for child laborers are a lifeline, where laughter rings out as children play soccer, share hot meals, and find safety. These clubs, resumed after the war, offer more than play—they’re sanctuaries where kids dream, learn, and encounter Christ’s peace. Families, too, receive vital support, from essentials to clandestine Bible studies, fostering hope and resilience.
