Persian Diaspora Partnerships Update June 2025

In the Shadow of Crisis, the Light of Christ Shines

As the devastation continues for our Persian Diaspora Partners, each day comes with new stories of how they continue to be the beacon of Christ’s light in difficult times. We have included a few of these partner stories below.

From Mehrdad Sajadi, Quest Academy

In the heart of Yerevan, Armenia, a small house church planted by Iranian Christians has opened its doors to a stream of refugees fleeing the ongoing war. Most who enter are not yet followers of Christ, but they come seeking safety and leave having encountered love.

One such refugee recently slipped a handwritten note to one of our Quest Academy workers. It read: “I don’t know who Christ is or what Christianity really means, but your love has moved me, and I want to know more about Jesus and the Bible.”

This is the Gospel lived out in real time. When the church becomes a refuge, it becomes a testimony. And in a world gripped by fear, love still speaks the loudest.

Stories About Five Individuals From Omid, Jubal Band Ministries

Ahmad: A respected leader in our ministry, Ahmad was imprisoned for two years for his faith. Since his release, he’s been driving a borrowed taxi and counseling Farsi-speaking church leaders remotely. Now, with growing unrest in Iran, even that modest income has vanished. Ahmad urgently needs help with rent and basic living expenses as he continues serving the persecuted church.

Mojgan: A former teacher, Mojgan was also imprisoned for her Christian beliefs. After losing her job, she began tutoring and providing spiritual counseling to women across Iran. But as the country faces deeper crisis, her tutoring has come to a halt. She and her family now need to relocate to a safer area. Her quiet influence has strengthened many—now she needs our strength behind her.

Reza: In East Tehran, Reza led faithfully in the house church network while supporting his wife and three children through his job in the petrochemical industry. That job is gone now, and so is their safety. He’s seeking temporary support to relocate his family to a more secure area and cover their basic needs.

Peyman: A recent explosion in Arak shattered Peyman’s home. With their house uninhabitable, he, his wife, and their two children are in urgent need of temporary shelter. Peyman and his wife have poured their lives into the house church—now we’re praying others can pour into theirs.

Soleiman: For two years, Soleiman has risked much to distribute Bibles and Christian literature. Now, he and his family – his two children and elderly parents – are under heavy pressure and in need of immediate support. The work he has done has helped many find the truth. It's our turn to help him stand firm.

From Reza, Radmard Ministries

In Karaj, one father, trained through our "Masculine Identity in Storms" program, shared how spiritual preparation became a lifeline during chaos.

"When everyone was in fear and stress, I learned to be calm instead of yelling or running away... My little daughter said: 'Dad, when you are with us, I am not afraid anymore.' "

This is the ripple effect of discipleship: inner transformation that anchors families during outer storms. Your support of Radmard empowers men to lead with love, courage, and faith in crisis.

From Forouzan, Gates of Heaven

The situation on the ground is heartbreaking. Our teams are distributing dried bread and canned goods where we can, but it’s never enough. In many cities, civilian neighborhoods are unknowingly caught between hidden weapons and targeted strikes. Fuel shortages mean families can’t even flee when warned.

One of our Gates of Heaven partners described the horror: "People were told to evacuate, but most had nowhere to go. Some died in their homes." Amid darkness, our teams are quietly building safe houses and preparing emergency supplies. But we can’t do it alone.

How You Can Pray and Respond

Please join us in lifting up these brave men and women:

·    Pray for protection from both violence and emotional collapse. Many are struggling with anxiety, stress-induced illness, and trauma.

·    Pray for peace and strength for their families, especially the fathers wrestling with how to care for their children in such instability.

·    Pray for hope and trust in God’s goodness amidst fear, confusion, and loss.

·    Pray for provision, as many are out of work, even a single missed day brings serious financial strain.
