Together for the Family — May 2023 Update

Together for the Family (TFF) cares for Syrian refugees through ministries including baby care for new mothers, medical and dental clinics, and educational classes for children. Executive Director Izdihar Kassis recently shared this news:
Together for the Family currently serves more than 1,700 families who were affected by February’s earthquake. During our visits to devastated areas in Aleppo and Latakia, we noticed that many children have no shoes or toys. So, in addition to providing food and blankets, we decided to provide them with shoes and toys! It was also a great time to share and pray with children and adults.
Schools in the devasted areas have become places for displaced people so children are not receiving any education. We responded to this need by forming an “informal and mobile school” for these children. More than 60 children are receiving care and education through this initiative.
Your support has been instrumental in enabling us to continue our mission of serving in Lebanon and in Syria. Thousands who are being impacted by our ministry are deeply grateful for your generosity and compassion.

The ongoing economic crisis in Lebanon continues to present many challenges. Izdihar sent the following prayer requests:
the safety and protection of all staff members, volunteers, and beneficiaries
the security and stability of the region and that any tensions or conflicts will be resolved peacefully
the emotional and mental well-being of the refugees, especially those who have experienced and are still experiencing trauma or hardship
TFF’s board of directors, leadership, and staff, for wisdom, courage, and endurance
