Pakistan Bible Correspondence School August 2025 Update
Faisalabad
In Pakistan, where Christians make up less than two percent of the population yet endure relentless persecution, the Pakistan Bible Correspondence School (PBCS) in Faisalabad radiates hope. Supported by The Outreach Foundation and led by Eli Sardar, PBCS shares Christ’s gospel with the majority population and equips rural pastors lacking formal education, transforming lives in a nation where faith demands courage.
In 2024, PBCS reached over one million people via social media, ignited over two thousand conversations, distributed 544 New Testaments and 242 Bibles, and engaged 837 individuals in follow-up discussions, guiding many to faith. Through public park witnessing and dialogues between Christian and majority scholars, PBCS builds bridges of understanding, embodying Christ’s love. Stories like A. Khan and G. Ali, both from the majority population, show this impact – they embraced Christ’s teachings through PBCS’s compassion, learned to love humanity, and became believers, their lives reshaped by hope.
In Pakistan’s 20,000 brick kilns, where 4.5 million, including Christians, toil under brutal conditions – scorching heat, meager wages, and generational debt – PBCS offers redemption. Elder Niamat J. and Mrs. S., once enslaved in these kilns, were freed through God’s grace and donor generosity, rising through PBCS’s Ministry Essentials Training Program (METP) to become fearless church leaders. Niamat now serves as an elder, bringing wisdom and teaching to his rural, largely illiterate community, while Mrs. S. offers compassion, hospitality, and prayer during home visits. Their journey from grueling labor to vibrant ministry reflects the transformative power of METP, supported by The Outreach Foundation, empowering couples in Pakistan’s toughest regions.
Mrs. Radha S. of Hajvery Presbyterian Church, serving 300 members, found courage through METP to defy cultural barriers, leading women’s fellowships and sharing God’s Word boldly. Despite obstacles while her husband studied abroad, METP equipped her to uplift her congregation through faith-filled home visits.
In 2024, PBCS trained 56 leaders like Radha, and for 2025, 80 more are enrolled, with a goal of 500 total students by 2028. In a country where most churches are in rural areas and receive virtually no support, PBCS’s vital work is building a stronger rural church for Pakistan, where 80% of its population lives.
What you can do!
Your support fuels this vital ministry in one of the world’s most challenging regions. Pray for PBCS’s safety and their efforts to secure a bank for direct funding. Financially, you can fund METP scholarships to train 500 leaders by 2028. Every gift empowers PBCS to bring hope, freedom, and faith to those in need, creating a ripple effect of love across Pakistan.
