Special Prayer Request for the FJKM in Madagascar

We received this prayer request from the Madagascar Mission Network on behalf of The Outreach Foundation's partner, the FJKM church in Madagascar.

FJKM President Irako Andriamahazosoa Ammi

Congratulations to the FJKM on celebrating its 55th year anniversary on August 18th! The following prayer request has been shared by FJKM President Irako Andriamahazosoa Ammi:

FJKM asks for prayer for the FFKM national meeting that will be held August 29th -September 1st in the capital city Antananarivo. The FFKM is the Christian Ecumenical Council made up of the Anglican, Catholic, FJKM, and Lutheran denominations. This year, the FJKM president is also the president of the FFKM. The FFKM will be participating in election monitoring for the upcoming presidential election scheduled for November 2023.

During the upcoming meeting, representatives of the FFKM at national, regional, and local levels will meet to strengthen the organizational efficiency of the FFKM and examine the best ways to promote free and fair elections including a variety of factors that go into election monitoring. During the meeting, there will be opportunities to engage with civil society (non-governmental organizations, churches, and non-profits...) and politicians.

Please pray for:

  • Safety as people will be traveling from all over the island,

  • Wisdom as leaders seek to establish regional and local FFKM structures that will be effective,

  • Creativity and discernment as members seek to look at best ways to promote free and fair elections,

  • Productive dialogue with civil society and political actors,

  • Concrete and realistic plans for election monitoring

  • Please be in prayer for the follow-up efforts at the national, regional, and local levels after the meeting.
