Maji ni uhai

On November 22nd we joined with leaders of the Presbyterian Church of East Africa (PCEA) in dedicating the new borehole at Kambui Girls’ High School in Kenya. The Moderator of the General Assembly and the Deputy Secretary General were both in attendance, which reflected the importance of this project.

There are over 800 girls attending Kambui Girls’ High School. They have never had a reliable source of water, making washing and cooking very difficult. The 36 teachers and their families now also have access to clean, safe water. We attended the dedication of the borehole, and we have never felt so much energy and enthusiasm in a school hall. The girls were so excited.

This project that will bless the school and students for decades to come was completed through a partnership of the PCEA, The Outreach Foundation and Covenant Presbyterian Church, an EPC congregation in Jackson, Mississippi, pastored by Steve Burton.

Maji ni uhai… with water you can live even better.
