Reformed Presbyterian Children’s Day School Ministry
in Guanabacoa, Cuba
About Our Partner
The Presbyterian Reformed Church in Guanabacoa was chartered 117 years ago by American missionaries, in March 1901. It is located in a "working class" neighborhood outside of Havana in the municipality of Guanabacoa (or Villa de Pepe Antonio) and is a place where different Afro-Cuban and Christian religions coexist. This diversity has historically affected the bond between the people of the neighborhood and the Church. Many residents in the community are non-working retirees.
Guanabacoa, Cuba is a suburb of Havana, and the Reformed Presbyterian Church of Guanabacoa sits in the middle of a densely populated neighborhood teeming with young children. The pastor and Session of this church dream of establishing a Children's Day School Ministry that will plant the Gospel seed in the hearts of neighborhood children… and through the children, by the power of the Holy Spirit, into their homes reaching all family members.
The Outreach Foundation is seeking gifts totaling $10,000 to establish the Children’s Day School Ministry in Guanabacoa.
