The Presbyterian Church of Rwanda (EPR)
The Busanza community was deeply affected by the genocide in 1994. It is a poor area where the government resettled widows and orphans as well as returnees after the genocide. A heartbroken community, it is in need of the healing that only Jesus Christ can provide. The church is growing by leaps and bounds in this area. A sanctuary with a seating capacity of 200 members was dedicated in July 2015. Funds contributed through The Outreach Foundation enabled the Presbyterian Church in Rwanda to complete and dedicate three classrooms as part of a Vocational Training Center. It is comprised of a vocational training school for both men and women. There is also a school for special needs children that the church administers for the area. The center aspires to teach young people the skills needed to get jobs and care for themselves and their families as well as to help educate children with special needs. Funds are needed to equip the school and offer scholarships to needy students.
The Church is growing exponentially in Busanza. Witnessing the school under construction has brought light and hope to the community. The first 34 men and women who graduated are now employed and earning a living for themselves and their families. Children with special needs and their families are being educated and helped. This community has truly been changed.
The Outreach Foundation is seeking gifts totaling $10,000 for equipment for the school and scholarships for needy students.
