Jeff and Christi Boyd
Dem. Rep. of Congo
About Our Partners
Regional Liaison for Central Africa
Since first appointed to mission service by PC(USA) in 1990, Jeff and Christi Boyd have served in Tanzania, Democratic Republic of Congo, and Cameroon. Jeff oversees the work of PC(USA) mission personnel in the region and coordinates partnerships with five Presbyterian partners in Central Africa. His specialty is education, so he is often visiting and assessing schools, encouraging training of teachers and administrators, and working with church leaders as they define goals and methods for their educational ministries. Jeff has been very helpful to The Outreach Foundation and our Booth Africa Mission in developing evangelism and grass-roots training programs. Christi used to be a facilitator for the Joining Hands Initiative of the Presbyterian Hunger Program. Now, she serves as Facilitator for Women’s and Children’s Interests in Democratic Republic of Congo, Niger, Rwanda, Madagascar and South Sudan working with partners to equip women for ministry and to address root causes of poverty and violence against women and children.
Sharing their wisdom and experience with partners in Africa in open and humble ways, Jeff and Christi Boyd are strengthening the capacity of the church for transformational mission and building links between African churches and congregations in the United States.
The Outreach Foundation is seeking gifts totaling $10,000 for support funds.
