In this hurting world, YOU can make a difference.

By partnering with The Outreach Foundation, your heart and gifts for mission help us to
BUILD, CONNECT and TRANSFORM people, congregations and communities around the world.

We help partners build physical things like churches, schools and wells. But, we also help build the capacity of local churches and global partners to share the message of God’s love and saving grace.

Stu and Annie Ross build churches and schools in Kenya, but they do much more than just construct buildings. Watch the exciting story of their “Building” ministry in Kenya by clicking the image.

When we work together, we are better and more effective than when we work alone. We connect believers here to those in different and distant places. Through these relationships, we are better able to share in God’s work in the world.

Our Outreach missionary, Dr. Sasan Tavassoli, has a heart for bringing the Good News of Jesus Christ to Iranians, no matter where they are- and many are in difficult to reach places. Watch the intriguing video about how Sasan “Connects” with Iranians no matter where they are by clicking the image.

Transforming lives is the work of God’s Spirit. We know that as we join with others in God’s mission, the first life changed is our own. God’s mission changes lives.

Outreach staff member Ebralie Mwizerwa’s life was changed during the Rwanda genocide in 1994. Since then, she has been dedicated to helping others be transformed by the Holy Spirit. Watch Ebralie’s story and immerse yourself in seeing God’s transforming grace at work by clicking the image.

We depend upon the generous financial support of mission-minded individuals like you to make our work possible.

Your gifts also help us:

  • Explore new mission opportunities
  • Help partners to implement best-practices
  • Deepen relationships with donors and global partners

As we reach out to our donors and friends in this annual appeal, we invite you to make a gift to The Outreach Foundation so that we can continue our work through people like Stu, Annie, Sasan and Ebralie. In doing so, you will be touching the lives of people who need to know God’s love and saving grace.

Building Partnerships

We see all the bad news in the newspapers and television. But what we seldom see is the good news of God at work in the world. The Outreach Foundation Associate Director for Partnership Development, Marilyn Borst, shares her extensive experience and stories of being a part of God’s work around the globe and how Outreach Builds, Connects and Transforms.

Marilyn Borst works with churches around the United States to help them discern God’s call to global engagement while connecting them to that work alongside the Global Church in Africa, Latin America and the Caribbean, Asia and the Middle East – a particular area of specialty for her. She travels extensively, nurturing relationships with church leaders, assessing ministry initiatives and leading short-term vision teams. Prior to coming to Outreach, Marilyn served as Director of Global Ministry at Peachtree Presbyterian Church in Atlanta. Marilyn holds a B.A. in Classical Studies from Calvin College (Grand Rapids, MI), an M.A. in Art History from Michigan State University, and an M.A. in Theology from St. Thomas University in Houston.

God Is at Work

The Outreach Foundation Executive Director, Rob Weingartner, shares how The Outreach Foundation works with partners in the United States as well as around the world to help Build, Connect and Transform. His perspectives and colorful stories make God’s work in the world real to us.

Rob Weingartner was called as The Outreach Foundation Executive Director in 2002 following pastorates in Indiana and Ohio. A graduate of Pittsburgh (M.Div.) and Princeton (D.Min.) seminaries, he served as a member of the General Assembly Council and the Worldwide Ministries Division committee of the PC(USA). Rob has also served on the boards of Pittsburgh Theological Seminary, Presbyterians for Renewal, New Wilmington Mission Conference and Presbyterian Global Fellowship. Rob travels extensively around the world, meeting with missionary partners and ensuring the effectiveness of Outreach’s work.

Marcus dePaula hosts these conversations and has been serving The Outreach Foundation since 2011, specializing in online communications. His partnership with Outreach began with building their new website, which he continues to help manage. His passion for ministry has grown out of his connection to Brazil, where he was born and spent part of his childhood.
