Akrofi-Christaller Institute for Theology, Mission, and Culture
About Our Partner
Presbyterian Church of Ghana
The Akrofi-Christaller Institute for Theology, Mission, and Culture (ACI) was founded by Kwame Bediako, a giant in the field of African Christianity. After his death in 2008 the Institute continues to help its students discover the gems of gospel truth that can be mined from the African cultures. For ACI theological formation is always in service of God’s mission in the context (culture) where it is being carried out. ACI has programs ranging from continuing education for lay leaders and recent seminary graduates to degree programs at the Masters and Doctoral level. The Akrofi-Christaller Institute was established by the Presbyterian Church of Ghana to serve the wider Christian community in Ghana and Africa. While its primary focus is on equipping the African Church for its mission, ACI welcomes non-Africans who want to learn from African Christian understandings of the Bible, mission, and theology.
Support for this premier mission institution in Africa assists them to produce leaders from churches and ministries throughout Africa who bring unique contributions to theology and mission that not only impact the church in Africa, but also widen the global church’s understanding of God’s mission.
The Outreach Foundation is seeking gifts totaling $10,000 for scholarships for students at Akrofi-Christaller Institute.
