Gary and Marlene Van Brocklin (PCUSA)

Gary and Marlene Van Brocklin have been commissioned to serve as the Presbyterian World Mission’s  Regional Liaisons for South Asia (India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, and Nepal). Gary was the Pastor of Latino Ministries in the New Church Development of New Vision Church in Conover. Both Gary and Marlene have been teaching at Montreat College for 14 of the past 18 years. They have previously served the Church in Latin America for 19 years (most recently when Gary was pastor of the international Union Church of Lima, Peru). Gary and Marlene will connect with global ministry partners on the Indian subcontinent and will help implement the three crucial global strategies of evangelism, reconciliation, and eradicating poverty.

Gary is from Honolulu, Hawaii and has degrees from Stanford University and Fuller Seminary. He is an ordained teaching elder in the PC(USA). Marlene is from Merced, California and has degrees from Whitworth University, Fuller School of Intercultural Studies, and Columbia Theological Seminary. She is an ordained ruling elder in the PC(USA). Their daughter, Annelies, lives in Fresno, California.
