Mission Trip Scholarships for Seminary Students and New Pastors

About Our Partner

The Outreach Foundation regularly includes young leaders in trips that are led by Outreach staff to see how God is at work through our global partners. Recently, we have taken seminarians and young pastors with us to China, Rwanda, Ethiopia, Brazil and Cuba. One participant wrote, “Perhaps my biggest takeaway was re-thinking my own role of pastor. In my first year of ministry, I've certainly felt an expectation of ministering on behalf of my whole congregation. But to see the way that the Rwandan pastors seek to equip, and not simply minister to their congregation was inspiring. My role as pastor is certainly not less than proclaiming the Gospel on a weekly basis. But this trip has challenged me to think more deeply on my functions as pastor, hopefully equipping my congregation to be ambassadors of Christ.”

The Impact

When church leaders experience the faith of the global church, and learn from believers in other contexts, it stirs their imagination about their own faith and ministry. We take seminarians and new pastors on trips with us to deepen their faith and their commitment to God’s mission.

The Need

The Outreach Foundation is seeking gifts totaling $10,000 to support scholarships.
