Karai Children's School and Orphanage
in Kenya

About Our Partner

Under the guidance of community leaders who are dedicated to the well-being of children, this orphanage/school is located not far from the town of Kikuyu in Kenya. There are currently 140 children living at the Karai home. Twelve children were welcomed into the facility for rehabilitation. The primary school at Karai is one of the best schools in the area. There is also a vocational school which prepares the children for the workforce by equipping them with competitive skills such as dressmaking, catering and carpentry. Karai is in the process of becoming more self-sufficient by raising chickens and cows and growing food. Scholarships for these children will augment local resources and provide money for school books, clothes, medical expenses, and food.

The Impact

This ministry provides a safe place for children and youths to learn and grow who would otherwise lack educational and vocational opportunities to prepare them for life in society.

The Need

The Outreach Foundation is seeking gifts totaling $22,500 for 150 children at $150 per student per year.
