EVANGELISM AND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT AMONG THE CHÓLS
MEXICO
Todd Luke, a lay missionary in Xpujil, Mexico, works through the Campechano Presbytery to support evangelism and community development among the Chól people group living in the region. His ministry includes projects that teach and enable both indigenous (mostly Chól ) and Mestizo Mexican Presbyterians to improve their own economic independence. These projects include construction of family-owned rainwater cisterns, bee keeping, beeswax pressing, hammock weaving, raising poultry and rabbits, and cultivation of chaya and moringa. Other components of this project involve equipping local Presbyterian leaders with the intellectual, spiritual and material resources necessary to plant new churches and further develop existing congregations.
Minimum goal: $10,000 - Expenses for evangelism ministry
