PRESBYERIAN SCHOOL OF DISTANCE LEARNING
PAKISTAN

The Presbyterian Church of Pakistan (PCP) was founded in 1993 as a result of the union of LCC and UP church. Now it has nearly 400,000 members, 27 presbyteries and 310 congregations.  Its ministries are working in the fields of education, theological education, health, literacy and the welfare of the poor and weak. The church needs to be made more effective in all its ministries.

In order to strengthen the spiritual life of believers within the local congregations, there is an urgent need to establish a Presbyterian School of Distance Learning.

The PCP has approved the creation of a long-distance learning program for church leadership development and, eventually, continuing education for pastors through correspondence with Gujranwala Seminary and its faculty. The initial beneficiaries will be the laity within the local congregations. Later on pastors of the PCP as well as those from other denominations will benefit from this approach to learning.

Amount needed:  $6,500 - Building renovation, furniture, fixtures and program course development
