AMAGARA HOUSE CHILDREN'S HOME
UGANDA
The HIV/AIDS epidemic is destroying families and entire cultures throughout Africa but in Uganda there is hope. The Ugandan government built a coalition with churches, organizations, and schools that has worked to educate people about the disease. More than a million people have died in Uganda since HIV/AIDS began to spread more than two decades ago, leaving behind over two million children.
Juna Amagara Ministries was founded in 2004 to help those children grow in Christ and become healthy, productive members of society. Gifts through The Outreach Foundation and others have made it possible to complete a children’s home in Mbarara that will house up to 80 children and staff. This was an enormous blessing for the ministry to increase its capacity and efficiency.
Juna Amagara is now moving to establish another home to care for more orphans at Kinshaje. Funds are needed for completion and equipment of the new building, for feeding, clothing and education for the children.
