EVANGELICAL CHURCH
NIGER

In Niger, one of the world’s poorest countries, it is impossible for most children to get education. The government does not have the resources to build schools in all of the communities. Schools are often overcrowded, under-equipped, and poorly staffed. Many children, especially girls, are at risk of never receiving an education because few families can afford school fees in private schools.

The Evangelical Church of Niger (EERN) is determined to take advantage of this unique opportunity and is working hard to make a Christian education available to as many children as possible. The EERN believes that producing outstanding Christian graduates is the best way for the gospel to impact a country and culture that is 99 percent Muslim.

Because government schools are of poor quality, many Muslims will even send their children to Christian schools.  In addition, Christians want to provide this education for their own children rather than having them influenced by the overwhelming Muslim majority in other schools.  Funds for this project will help support this strategic ministry of the EERN.

Minimum goal:  $25,000 - Building church schools in a secular culture
