SMALL MABATI CHURCH CONSTRUCTION
EAST AFRICA
In a country where Christianity is exploding, the need for new churches continues to grow. Churches are built in areas where people were worshipping under trees or in houses. These basic churches are built in just three days. The receiving congregations supply the land, cement flooring and labor. The churches serve as places of worship on Sundays and as schools during the week.
Stu Ross, East African Mission Consultant for The Outreach Foundation devotes his time and talents overseeing these construction projects. Since 2003, this project has been very successful and has offered mission opportunities to PC(USA) churches to reach out to the PCEA churches in Kenya specifically.
Minimum goal: $70,000 - To build 10 churches at $7,000 each
$10,000-to furnish the 10 churches at $1,000 a piece
