MISSION STAFF

The Outreach Foundation employs several mission staff who serve in geographic areas with which they are familiar. Many years of field experience make our mission consultants experts in a variety of ways. They help facilitate specific projects in these regions, guide groups to visit with our international partners, and provide information and other assistance to congregations seeking to become more involved in mission.

PETER LIM

China

For the past few years we have been deepening our relationships with the Church in China, especially in the provinces of Jiangsu, Shandong, Heilongjiang, and Shaanxi. We have budding commitments in Zhejiang Province and Beijing as well.

We are at the point where we can go deeper in our mission relationships, and the Church in China is freer than ever to reciprocate in inviting us to fuller participation with their life and ministry. We are limited only by availability of time and people.

We have now found a person who can work full-time for The Outreach Foundation in China. Peter Lim is no stranger to participants on Outreach Foundation trips to China, as he has accompanied us on six trips since 2002. He has also helped us with one of our recent projects, ‘Resources for Lay Leaders in China.’

Peter received his M.Div and M.A. from George Fox University. He later received his Ph. D. from Gonzaga University.

Peter will spend roughly half his time relating to our church and mission partners in China (two to three trips per year with extensive communications in-between). He will also be a valuable resource on this side of the Pacific for churches interested in developing mission relationships in China, and he will lead the annual Outreach Foundation trip to China.

Peter is married to Stephanie, and they have four children. They make their home in Spokane, Washington. We invite you to join this new venture in our commitment to serve the Church in China by joining Peter’s support team.
